I've been at Google for two weeks now, and not much has happened. A lot of the time has been spent meeting with people who use to work on projects in Africa (and have since moved on) or reading about the various projects. I found my office late last week after I spent a few awkward days desk drifting.
Supposedly my Ghanaian business visa has been approved (I have yet to receive my passport) but no further details about when I am leaving. It seems dependent on when I am done acquiring things (corporate credit card, miscellaneous visas), organizing my personal things (opening a bank account, getting an international credit card) and moving. Brian and I have already moved most of our things from Fremont into my brother's/parent's house (Brian will be living there while I am abroad). We're both sad to be leaving such a wonderful apartment with so many great memories and to go from such togetherness to separation. :(
